EVERYTHING COUNTS by Evelyn Hardy
Location: By the Babson Creek lupine patch, directly down from the screened porch on the schoolhouse.
Materials: Notebook, colored pencils
1. When you get to the spot, sit down and put on your headphones.
2. Close your eyes and listen to the sounds of a waterfall for about 5 minutes:
3. While listening to the audio, find something in nature that you feel drawn to.
4. Use your colored pencils and draw that thing.
5. When your done, read this poem on the rock:
When the birds fly away
Above the trees
Across the horizon
Among the clouds
Beneath the sun
Past the people
Around the clock
Down by the river
During the flight
Until replenished
Off the ground
Toward the light
6. Then, lay down in the grass for a while.
7. Think about someone you love and think about how they make you feel.
