We Had To Write About It By Kieu McMullin
Location: Babson Creek bank, point with pebble place at low tide
Action:
1. Sit down and listen to the sound of the water.
2. Now put on the headphones and listen to the recording below:
3. While listening to the sounds think about your favorite season.
4. Now take off your headphones, and read my poem:
“Take Care
By: Kieu McMullin
To look outside your window,
to see trees swaying,
plants dancing,
that’s a privilege.
We treat things as if we have a unlimited amount,
But there’s only one earth.
When the rain trickles down,
Or when the sun reaches down to touch your back,
Appreciate it.
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter,
It’s all a beautiful rainbow,
That will fade like all rainbows do.”
5. Think about what you think about the poem:
6. View the scenery and think about the sounds.
7. Find a stick. Look at it as if it's your best friend! (And name it if you like.) And after you think about that for a 30 seconds throw the stick in to the creek, and yell (if you like)" -insert name here- has betrayed me!"
8. Think about going about your day, then go about your day.
