Explore Storybook Theater through a week of Place-Based performance, bringing Brendan Wenzel’s ‘Every Dreaming Creature’ to life! The production will be directed by Andrew Simon, with arts education support from Community School educators: Autumn Soares + Alisa Hearn. The week culminates in a Friday theater performance, where students share their work on stage.

Participants will learn from skilled facilitators and local knowledge-keepers: Jesse Snider + Matt Blackman and learn age appropriate wilderness first aid with founder of Wilderness Medicine Leadership LLC., Sarah Adelberg.

Join Sweet Fern Forest Kindergarten teachers for a morning immersion in the natural world. Participants will explore a The Community School campus through hands-on, nature-based activities that foster conversation and community-building among parents and children. Wonder Walks are designed for ages 1-3 and their caregivers. This special Wonder Walk is offered July 22nd from 9am - 11am.
Wonder of Place Week

We invite you to join The Community School (TCS) for a week of creativity, exploration, and community in the Babson Creek Learning Forest! This immersive week features three distinct tracks, each running Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm (July 20th - 24th only), designed to engage young artists, performers, and explorers in meaningful, place-based experiences. We invite families to register for the individual track that best fits their child’s interests and age group.
We will also be offering the beloved Wonder Walk on Wednesday, July 22nd from 9:00am - 11:00am (one date only this summer) which is designed for children ages 1-3 years old and their accompanying caregivers.
Scholarship & Reduced Tuition for Summer Programming: We are committed to making this meaningful, place-based experience accessible to all families. If the full cost of the weeklong session is a concern, we invite you to complete the scholarship request form below. We offer reduced tuition based on family need and aim to ensure that cost is not a barrier to participation.
