Weekly Notes

  • Outing: A weekly field-trip into the community that engages children in research, service learning, and exploration that supports the content of their current expedition and connects them to local landscapes and people.

  • Town Meeting: We will come together each week to participate in the planning of school events and community actions.  Currently, this is a venue for children to discuss cares and concerns within the school, make any pertinent announcements, and share work with one another.  As the school grows, we hope that the Town Meeting will be moderated by a student and be an introduction to small-scale governance.  Currently, Town Meeting participation varies according to grade level.
