Something That Is Just A Little Off By Tryg Soares

Location: Edge of Babson creek, behind swing

1. Walk silently to the grassy bank of the creek.
2. Listen to wind chimes in the video below:

3. Think about how the wind powers the music and the music travels out into the world.

4. Read this piece about the spot:

This spot is especially important to me because it is the place that helped me decide that I wanted to go to the Community School. Last year I was invited to the end of year celebration when I was thinking about going to school here. I knew a lot of kids here, but I did not feel like part of the group. I was not comfortable with the layout and the kids all had their own connections with the place and each other. I wandered down to this spot on my own to think about how I felt about going to school at the Community School. I spent a lot of time looking at Bason Creek and watching the birds flying around. I was thinking about if this was the right place for me. After a little while of sitting by myself, I saw Ms. Jasmine walking toward me. She talked to me about my thoughts about joining the Community School. She also talked to me about Bason Creek and the birds we were watching. Having Ms. Jasmine talk to me and tell me about the school helped me decide that I wanted to be here. This was the spot that I first set my intention to come to school.
